AuthoraCare Collective Data Breach

AuthoraCare Collective was formerly known as Hospice of Greensboro and Hospice of Alamace-Caswell, and has hospice and palliative care locations in Greensboro, North Carolina. AuthoraCare recently announced that their computer system was the target of a data breach in August of 2024. At that time, sensitive personal information belonging to 58,019 individuals stored there was accessed by hackers.  The types of data exposed during the breach may include names, addresses, dates of birth, contact information, medical information, Social Security numbers, protected health information and more.
