Excelsior Orthopaedics Data Breach
About the Investigation:
If so, your sensitive personal identifiable information may have been stolen!
Excelsior Orthopaedics is a medical practice with offices in the Buffalo region of New York State. On June 23, 2024, Excelsior discovered that their computer network was the target of a cybersecurity incident. At that time, an unauthorized party was able to infiltrate Excelsior’s database and view or steal confidential information stored there. On December 31, 2024, Excelsior sent out notice letters to some of the 357,000 individuals whose data was exposed during the breach. The notice letters say that the types of data stolen may include names, addresses, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, driver’s license or ID numbers, and biometric data.
Data breaches are serious matters that can cause long term damage. Hackers break into networks so that they can steal your personal information to sell it on the dark web, commit identity theft, financial theft or other frauds.
How do you know if you were affected? If you received a letter from Excelsior Orthopaedics notifying you that your personal information was impacted in their data breach, contact us to find out if you may be eligible for compensation!
