Milan Eye Center is located in Alpharetta, Georgia and serves patients throughout North Atlanta and the surrounding region. Theis eye center uses a company to manage their electronic health records called iMedicWare, Inc. On December 9, 2022, Milan Eye Center was informed that iMedicWare’s internal system had been breached by a hacker and confidential Milan Eye Center patient information had been accessed. The information exposed belonged to 67,336 individuals who had been patients of the eye center in 2020.

The information accessed by the hackers included full names, dates of birth, phone numbers, insurance information, Social Security numbers, dates and locations of service, protected health information and possibly more.
