Edelman Financial Engines, LLC is a financial advisory company based in Santa Clara, California with over 100 other locations across the country. Edelman Financial Engines recently reported a data breach to the Attorney General of Maine which compromised sensitive information belonging to over 5,000 people.  Consumer notices were sent out to those affected by the breach on January 28, 2026.The notices explain that the types of data accessed may include names, birth dates, addresses, phone numbers, emails, and financial planning data.
