Energy Capital Credit Union is located in Houston, Texas. On December 31, 2025, Energy Capital sent notice letters to an unknown number of affected individuals regarding a data breach. The incident occurred between October and November of 2024, at which time an unauthorized individual gained access to the Energy Capital computer network and compromised sensitive files stored there. The information involved may include names, Social Security numbers, bank card numbers, and other financial account information.
