IOU Central Inc. Data Breach

IOU Central Inc. is a company which operates under the name IOU Financial Inc. IOU provides loans to small businesses throughout the United States. On March 26, 2025, IOU sent out notice letters which informed recipients that their data had been compromised in a recent breach. While details about how the breach occurred were not initially made public, the notice posted on the Texas Attorney General’s website says that the data involved may include names, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers and financial account information.
