On January 16, 2025, Polaris Industries announced a recall of their 2024-2025 Ranger XD 1500 and Crew XD 1500 Recreational Off-Road Vehicles. This announcement comes after it was discovered that these models have a defect which causes the door to open while the vehicle is moving. This flaw can cause any of the following:

a passenger or driver being ejected

the door opening and slamming onto extremities while driving or trying to close it

pets or belongings falling out of the vehicle

crash due to distracted driving
