Steel Encounters, Inc. is a building contractor in Salt Lake City, Utah. In late July of 2025, Steel Encounters was made aware of a ransomware attack which compromised private company data. Cybercriminals were able to access and extract 21 GB data of Steel Encounters data — possibly including names, addresses, Social Security numbers, birth dates, financial data, health insurance data and more.
