Baum & Baum CPAs recently disclosed that it suffered a data breach that compromised the sensitive personal data of certain individuals.

What Happened?

While no breach has been publicly reported by Baum & Baum CPAs directly, a similar firm, MBE CPAs, LLP, experienced a confirmed data breach. On April 18, 2024, MBE CPAs identified unauthorized activity within its systems. A forensic investigation confirmed that hackers accessed files containing Social Security numbers, financial records, and other personally identifiable information. Breach notifications were sent to affected individuals beginning June 9, 2025.
