Alabama Cardiovascular Group Data Breach
About the Investigation:
If so, your sensitive personal identifiable information may have been stolen!
Alabama Cardiovascular Group is a physicians’ group based in Birmingham, Alabama. On August 2, 2024, Alabama Cardiovascular Group sent out notices of a security incident to individuals whose data was affected in the breach. The letters explain that an unauthorized third party gained access to the Alabama Cardiovascular Group computer system between June and July of 2024. That unauthorized party was then able to access private information stored there. The data accessed may include names, addresses, emails, phone numbers, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, driver’s license or passport numbers, health insurance information, usernames and passwords, medical information, credit card or debit card information, and bank account information.
Data breaches are serious matters that can cause long term damage. Hackers break into networks so that they can steal your personal information to sell it on the dark web, commit identity theft, financial theft or other frauds.
How do you know if you were affected? If you received a letter from Alabama Cardiovascular Group notifying you that your private information was impacted in their data breach, contact us to find out if you may be eligible for compensation!
