American Welding & Gas is a gas and welding supply company headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina with over 100 locations in 22 states. On July 11, 2025, the Texas Attorney General published a notice stating that American Welding & Gas had been targeted in a data breach of their computer systems. This resulted in the exposure of sensitive information stored there, including names, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, financial information, medical information and health insurance information. According the Attorney General’s posting, notice letters have been sent from American Welding & Gas to affected individuals by U.S. Mail.
