Ameriprise Financial, Inc. is a financial services and bank holding company based in Minneapolis, Minnesota with additional locations in several other states. On December 15, 2025, Ameriprise Financial reported that some data on their systems had been exposed in a recent breach, including a client’s name, address and Social Security number. This appears to be the second data breach affecting Ameriprise Financial in past two years. In January of 2024, Ameriprise informed another group of individuals regarding a breach caused by an ex-employee’s error which exposed names and Social Security numbers.
