API Financial Solutions Data Breach

API Financial Solutions provides payroll and accounting services to other businesses who manage employees.  They are based out of Saint Peters, Missouri but have clients throughout the country. On September 29, 2023, API announced a data breach to their computer network which endangered the personal information of over 71,000 individuals.  During the data breach, a hacker was able to access sensitive consumer data including full names, Social Security numbers, driver’s license or passport numbers, as well as their financial account information.
