Aspire Rural Health System is a network of health providers and clinics in Huron County, Sanilac County, Tuscola County, and Lapeer County, Michigan. In late 2024, the Aspire Rural Health System was targeted by a hacker group who hacked into the network and stole data belonging to 138,386 patients and staff members. The personal data said to have been compromised includes names, birth dates, Social Security numbers, bank account numbers, medical records information, health insurance information and more.
