BankGloucester, based in Gloucester, Massachusetts, discovered on August 16, 2023, that confidential customer information had been exposed in a data breach. The hackers responsible for the security incident targeted a vendor of BankGloucester, Darling Consulting, which stored the data in their internal network.   The information accessed by the hackers involved 19,283 BankGloucester customers’ personal identifying information, as well as possibly account numbers, credit card numbers, security codes, passwords and PIN numbers.
