CEI Vision Partners, LLC operates a network of optical care practices throughout Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky. Recently, CEI notified the Vermont Attorney General of a data breach which occurred and affected private data stored in the CEI computer network. The data breach occurred in May of 2024, at which time an unauthorized party gained access and compromised files containing names, contact information, birth dates, Social Security numbers, financial account information, health plan information and/or other data.
Data breaches are serious matters that can cause long term damage. Hackers break into networks so that they can steal your personal information to sell it on the dark web, commit identity theft, financial theft or other frauds.
