Cooper Health System Data Breach Investigation

Cooper University Health Care is a hospital in Camden, New Jersey which is part of the Cooper Health System (“Cooper Health”). On May 23,2025, Cooper Heath issued a press release regarding a breach of their computer system which occurred in May of 2024. During the breach, a hacker was able to access private information belonging to 57,412 people, including names and Social Security numbers.
