Dordt University is an accredited Christian university in Sioux City, Iowa which recently announced that a data breach occurred to their computer systems in April of 2024, exposing the data of 34,251 people. A ransomware gang has taken credit for the attack, claiming they stole 3 terabytes of data during the breach. The information taken by the criminals includes names, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, bank account numbers, health insurance information, medical information, usernames and passwords.
