On June 10, 2024, First American Financial Corporation sent a Notice of Data Breach to the Maine Attorney General.  In the letter, the company explains that their computer system was the target of a security incident in which private consumer information was accessed — potentially including names, driver’s license numbers and possibly more information. 41,638 people were reported to have had their data stolen in the breach.
