On February 10, 2023, it was announced that a California medical group had suffered a cyberattack to its network that affected 3.3 million patients. The Heritage Provider Network system includes different medical groups, so the data breach exposed the information of patients of Regal Medical Group, Lakeside Medical Organization, ADOC Medical Group and Greater Covina Medical. The information accessed by the hackers included patients’ names, addresses, phone numbers, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, private medical information, and health plan numbers.
