Intel Corporation is an American tech company headquartered in Santa Clara, California.  Recently, it was discovered that sensitive information belonging to 270,000 Intel employees was accessible and downloadable on the internet due to a security flaw.  The vulnerability was discovered by a researcher who was aware of the company’s history of hardware vulnerabilities. Not only was the personal information of every Intel employee accessible, but the researcher identified a weakness in which he could gain administrative access to the Intel system. This means that hackers, who are skilled in breaking into secured computer networks, would easily have been able to breach the Intel network.
