Lee Enterprises, the owner of Tulsa World and other news organizations in 25 states, has suffered a data breach!
In February of 2025, the Lee Enterprises computer network was the target of a ransomware attack. The ransomware gang responsible for the attack posted some of the stolen data on the dark web, including photos of IDs, financial data, contracts and other confidential information. This is not the first time Lee Enterprises has experienced a data breach — several years ago the company was targeted in another breach. Lee Enterprises has begun notifying 39,000 affected individuals of this most recent breach.
