LexisNexis Risk Solutions is a company that collects consumer data and uses it to charge their corporate clients for information meant to help them mitigate risk. LexisNexis Risk Solutions recently disclosed that the company suffered a data breach in December of 2024 when an unknown party was able to access LexisNexis’ GitHub account. From there, the hacker stole names, dates of birth, phone numbers, home addresses, emails, Social Security numbers and driver’s license numbers belonging to over 364,000 people.
