McLaren Health Care System Data Breach Investigation

McLaren Health Care is a health system with hospitals and medical providers throughout Michigan and Indiana. In August of 2024, McLaren’s computer system suffered a ransomware attack which impacted hospital systems including patient databases, IT and phones. This is the second major data breach suffered by McLaren, with this most recent one impacting the data of 743,000 individuals. The extent of data involved in this breach has not yet been revealed.
