On April 14, 2025, MedEx sent notice letters to 118,418 people about a data breach which had occurred to their system. The company was the target of a ransomware attack in 2024 which resulted in patient data being accessed — possibly including names, addresses, ID information, Social Security numbers, medical, financial, and/or health insurance information.
