MetroWest Community Federal Credit Union Data Breach
About the Investigation:
If so, your sensitive personal identifiable information may have been stolen!
MetroWest Community Federal Credit Union is located in Framingham, Massachusetts. In September of 2025, the MetroWest computer network was targeted in a ransomware attack. A hacker group has taken credit for the attack and is said to have not only stolen sensitive files from MetroWest FCU, but also posted some of that private data on the dark web. This stolen data could include names, addresses, phone numbers, Social Security numbers, bank account numbers, bank card numbers and/or driver’s license numbers. MetroWest FCU says they will be notifying all affected individuals.
Data breaches are serious matters that can cause long term damage. Hackers break into networks so that they can steal your personal information to sell it on the dark web, commit identity theft, financial theft or other frauds.
