Pena Briones McDaniel & Co. is a Texas-based certified public accounting firm which operates in both Texas and New Mexico. In this capacity, they handle very sensitive data belonging to their clients which is stored in their network. On August 8, 2025, Pena Briones McDaniel & Co. sent notice letters out to individuals, alerting them of a data breach which had exposed their information. While the notice Pena Briones McDaniel & Co. provided to the Massachusetts Attorney General does not explain how the breach occurred, it does say that personal information was exposed.
