Rumpke Consolidated Companies, Inc. is an Ohio waste and recycling company which owns landfills, recycling centers, portable restrooms, and more. On December 10, 2024, Rumpke sent out notice letters regarding a breach to their computer network which affected 16,946 individuals. The hacker was able to gain entry to the Rumpke computer system through a user account and then extracted files which were later posted on the dark web. The data stolen may include names, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, financial account information, health insurance information and health data.
