Santa Cruz Bicycles Recall

About the Investigation:
On May 1, 2025, Santa Cruz Bicycles issued a recall for its Heckler 9 ebike. The concern is that the 720W lithium-ion battery on the ebike is likely to overheat, which could cause a fire. The battery is stored inside of a black case on the frame of the bike.
Santa Cruz Bicycles is asking that anyone who owns one of these bicycles STOP using it immediately. Unplug the battery from the charger and remove it, disposing of it safely.
Santa Cruz Bicycles is offering replacement batteries, but it may take a couple of months to get them out to all customers. You can submit your request for a replacement battery here Santa Cruz Bicycles Recalls Electric Bicycles Due to Fire Hazard
