On June 17, 2024, the Texas Attorney General posted notice of a data breach to the South Texas Oncology and Hematology, PLLC computer system.  South Texas Oncology and Hematology is a medical group specializing in cancer treatment and located in the San Antonio area.

It was reported that the information belonging to 171,378 individuals on the South Texas Oncology computer system was stolen by hackers. This security breach exposed names, addresses, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, medical information and health information.
