On November 15, 2023, Stanley Steemer International, Inc. sent a Notice of Data Event to the Maine Attorney General.  In the letter, the company explains that their computer system was the target of a security incident in which the private information belonging to 66,978 individuals was accessed — potentially including names, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers and financial account information.
