About the Investigation:

Is Your 2024 Toyota Tundra Defective?

If so, we’d like to hear about it!

The new 2024 Toyota Tundra has been redesigned from previous models, and it now comes equipped with a twin turbo V6 engine instead of the tried and true V8.  Unfortunately, customers are learning during oil changes that their expensive new trucks have metal pieces in the oil. This not only means something in the Tundra is not meeting quality specifications, but whatever the defect is also can cause complete engine failure. Not the kind of engine failure with a quick part replacement as a fix — this failure requires complete rebuild or replacement of the engine.

So far Toyota has recalled 102,000 Tundra trucks which retail for anywhere between $60,000 to almost $100,000 each.

Toyota has not yet identified the problem and has no fix as of now. Consumers are trying to trade their trucks in, but a recent article claims dealers are refusing to accept trade ins of the 2024 Tundra trucks.
