University of Phoenix is a private university based in Phoenix, Arizona which offers online classes to students all across the United States as well. Recently, the University of Phoenix reported a data breach which exposed private data belonging to 3.5 million people. The breach resulted from a vulnerability in a third party software vendor used by the University called Oracle. It was discovered in November of 2025 and may involve names, Social Security numbers and bank account information.
