Velocity Risk Underwriters sells specialty property insurance policies for coastal and other high risk commercial properties in New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Texas and Florida. In April of 2025, Velocity Risk Underwriters discovered that their internal data was exposed when a third-party vendor they use (WaterStreet Company) was targeted in a cyberattack. The stolen data belongs to over 41,000 people and includes names, Social Security numbers, and financial account information.
