AccessLex is an organization headquartered in West Chester, Pennsylvania which supports law students with scholarships, grants and education. FBCS is a third-party debt collector whose services are used by AccessLex. In February 2024, FBCS discovered a security breach to their computer system which exposed data belonging to AccessLex. Since then, AccessLex has notified the California Attorney General of the breach and sent out notice letters to individuals whose personal data was involved. The information specifically impacted is detailed in those notice letters, and it may include names, Social Security numbers, contact information, dates of birth and/or financial information.
