About the Investigation:

Are you a current or former transportation worker in Illinois?

The Illinois Genetic Information Protection Act (GIPA) does not allow an employer to ask about your family’s health history, since it violates your privacy rights.

Siri and Glimstad LLP is investigating the ILLINOIS TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT regarding claims from transportation workers that they were asked about their family medical history by the Transportation Department during either the application process or their employment.

If you live in Illinois, are a transportation worker and were asked within the last five years about your family’s health history by an HR manager or a superior at THE TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT during the hiring process or your employment there, please fill out the form on this page.
