SRP Federal Credit Union Data Breach
About the Investigation:
If so, your sensitive personal identifiable information may have been stolen!
SRP Federal Credit Union (“SRP”) has branch locations and ATMs in the Augusta, Georgia area and across the line in South Carolina. On December 12, 2024, SRP notified the Maine Attorney General of a data breach to their computer network which affected 240,752 individuals. The breach occurred in September of 2024 when an unauthorized party extracted files from the SRP network, but this was not discovered by SRP until November. The individual notice letters sent on December 12, 2024 will be more specific regarding what data was accessed for each person.
Data breaches are serious matters that can cause long term damage. Hackers break into networks so that they can steal your personal information to sell it on the dark web, commit identity theft, financial theft or other frauds.
How do you know if you were affected? If you received a letter from SRP Federal Credit Union notifying you that your personal information was impacted in their data breach, contact us to find out if you may be eligible for compensation!
