Zane Benefits, now called PeopleKeep, is a company which offers benefits administration software to other businesses. On November 25, 2024, Zane Benefits sent out notice letters to affected individuals regarding a data breach to the company’s computer network. The letters state that an unknown third party was able to infiltrate Zane’s computer system and access files stored there, possibly including names, Social Security numbers, addresses, emails, and phone numbers.

Data breaches are serious matters that can cause long term damage. Hackers break into networks so that they can steal your personal information to sell it on the dark web, commit identity theft, financial theft or other frauds.
