On December 23, 2024, American Addiction Centers, Inc. sent out data breach notice letters to 422,424 affected individuals. The breach occurred in September of 2024, when an unauthorized party gained access to the American Addiction Centers computer network and was able to view highly sensitive data stored there. This data may have included names, contact information, home addresses, birth dates, Social Security numbers, health insurance information and medical record numbers.
